Sizok’thola Presenter Xolani Khumalo Granted Bail
Xolani Khumalo, the well-known presenter of the popular TV show Sizok’thola was on Tuesday granted bail by the Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.
This decision comes after Xolani Khumalo handed himself over to the Katlehong North Police Station yesterday.
Xolani Khumalo Granted Bail
Xolani Khumalo who is facing a murder charge was granted R20 000 bail when he appeared before court.
The state did not oppose his bail. The NPA spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane revealed that the prosecution believes it has a strong case against him.
According to Sunday World, Xolani will return to court on October 19.
Xolani Khumalo Mysterious Murder Case
Xolani is currently facing a serious murder case stemming from the untimely death of notorious drug lord Robert Varrie.
Varrie’s death occurred shortly after Xolani Khumalo’s visit during the filming of an episode of Sizok’thola in July.
Xolani and his television crew were accused of being connected to the death of Robert Varrie.
In a statement released through his foundation, The Xolani Khumalo Foundation, he emphasized that he had cooperated with law enforcement. He stated,
“The South African Police Service has requested that Xolani Khumalo hand himself over in connection with an incident that occurred at one of the last drug busts. Xolani Khumalo and the team operated according to the strictest standards of professionalism when engaged in securing accountability from those that sell drugs and choose to harm communities.”
Moja Love Speaks Out
Meanwhile, Moja Love, the channel that airs Sizok’thola, confirmed that they were informed of Khumalo’s intention to surrender to the police.
Nonzwakazi Cekete, the Moja Love spokesperson, stated,
“We are aware that he is handing himself to the police, and the matter is sub-judice, and we will await the outcome of the court.”
