Despite maintaining discretion for an extended period, Master KG felt compelled to address the ongoing issues publicly. In a heated X post Master KG wrote:

While the artist chose to air his grievances openly, he refrained from delving into specific incidents or disputes, leaving his followers curious about the extent of the conflict. Despite inquiries from concerned fans, Master KG remained cryptic, indicating a desire to move forward rather than dwell on past grievances.

Other Artists who blasted Open Mic Productions

Master KG’s public condemnation of Open Mic Productions aligns him with a growing list of artists who have voiced dissatisfaction with the label. Notable figures such as his former partner Makhadzi and Grammy-winning artist Nomcebo Zikode have previously aired grievances against the company.

Makhadzi’s Tale of Contractual Woes

Earlier this year, Makhadzi revealed her own struggles with Open Mic Productions, highlighting issues related to contractual transparency and compensation. Despite her commercial success, including multiple platinum and gold albums, the artist, born Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona, alleged non-payment of royalties and contractual ambiguity.

“I continued to fulfil my obligations under the contract, despite never receiving a copy for myself,” Makhadzi lamented, shedding light on a recurring theme of contractual neglect within the industry. She has, however, moved on now and uses her own label.
