Love Laughs No More: Tol Ass Mo and Mome File for Divorce
Reality TV stars Tol Ass Mo and his wife Mome have separated. Mongezi Mahlangu who is famously known as Tol Ass Mo, confirmed this during an interview with DJ Fresh on Friday, 21 July.
The interview was part of DJ Fresh’s YouTube podcast show, WAW What A Week.
Tol Ass Mo revealed that after 11 years of marriage, he and Mome have decided to go their separate ways.
The comedian’s revelation came shortly after they appeared on the romantic couple’s talk show “Sunday Sexy Love,” hosted by actress and comedian Tumi Morake.
During the interview, Tol Ass Mo candidly shared that they have tried everything possible to salvage their relationship but to no avail.
He emphasized that he was there for Mome just as much as she was there for him, but they gradually grew apart due to various challenges they faced together.

Tol Ass Mo Initiated the Split
Tol Ass Mo took the brave step to call off the marriage, stating that he is deeply traumatized. He even expressed that he no longer wishes to have a black wife again due to the emotional scars he carries.
However, he clarified that Mome is not the source of his trauma. At present, Tol Ass Mo and Mome are living in separate homes, and they have not yet discussed the situation with their children.
The comedian emphasized that he needs time to heal and be alone during this challenging period.

Tol Ass Mo Cleared of Sexual Assault Allegations
In 2018, model and actress Lerato Moloi accused Tol Ass Mo of sexual assault during their work on a television production in Paarl, Western Cape.
The incident allegedly occurred in 2014. However, in August 2022, Tol Ass Mo was acquitted of the charges and threatened to sue Lerato Moloi for making false accusations against him.
Throughout the rape case, Mome stood by her husband’s side, defending him against the allegations. In 2020, she referred to the accusations on Twitter as a “kangaroo court,” asserting that she would support her husband until he is proven guilty in a legitimate court of law.
