MaMkhize Makes Her Debut Uzalo Appearance

Uzalo, Mzansi’s number one most-watched show of all time has roped in the prominent businesswoman and socialite, Shawn Mkhize to make her first debut into acting career on the latest episode.

Despite pulling more than 8 million viewers monthly and being the number one most-watched television series on DSTV right now, Uzalos performance has been on the downslope for months now and its producers are still searching for ways to recover.

Introducing Shawn Mkhize on the star-studded cast is part of the plans to attract a fair number of viewers for the show.

Rumour has it that the departure of Dawn Thandeka King, Baby Cele and Siyabonga Shibe not so long ago had some damning effects on the show’s performance.

Uzalo has also recalled some of its big stars that were laid off last year.

News reaching media indicate that the show producers are currently rewriting the storyline to accommodate the return of GC, Thobile, Mxolisi and Mastermind.

Taking to Instagram on its latest post, Uzalo teased MaMkhize’s highly anticipated debut which will be aired soon.

MaMkhize has never acted before. She doesn’t hold any qualification or experience in acting. But her debut comes after a rich experience on the screens through her recently ended reality show, KwaMamkhize which features her son, Andile Mkhize and stepdaughter Sbahle Mpisane.

Other developments on the show include the exit of two major faces from the show.

Jet Novuka, who plays the smug police captain, Yamkela Mpambani, will not be on our screens for long, as the Uzalo writers decided to wrap up his story.

On the other hand, Cebolenkosi Mthembu who plays detective Nyawo will not be available for the next episodes after losing her voice due to Covid-19.
