Mampintsha and Babes Wodumo Now Officially Married
Babes Wodumo is just one step closer to fully becoming Mrs Maphumulo by law. Her husband-to-be; Mampintsha sent a delegation to the Simelanes yesterday to finalize the lobola negotiations.
Maphumulo got on one knee and popped the question this year on Gagasi FM and said: “I want you to make me the happiest man alive. I want to be part of your mess. We have been dating for quite some time so I would like to make it official.”
Babes’ family announced on social media that the cows reached the Simelane household and a smitten Babes thanked her for making sure that everything ran smoothly.
Sources close to Maphumulo told media outlets that he was also pressured by her family to do the right thing by making Babes his wife.
“He has made up his mind and wants to spend the rest of his life with Babes. He was also getting a lot of pressure from the Simelanes, who are very religious, to put a ring on it, because the two were living together.”
It is unclear at this stage whether their lobola negotiations or wedding will be documented on their reality show Uthando Lodumo. The couple inked a reality show deal with Showmax recently which is set to make them R3 million richer. Their show will premiere in early 2021.
“Babes and Mampintsha’s relationship has not been a fairy tale romance,” says Nomsa Philiso, MultiChoice Channel Director – Local Entertainment. “They’ve had serious issues as a couple, yet have chosen to remain together. The show focuses on how they have overcome their challenges, working through them with their families.”
Fans of the couple are hoping for the best, especially for Babes as she was emotionally and physically abused by Mampitsha. They also made headlines when they opened assault charges against each other.
