Maskandi Star Ntencane Accused of Being a Deadbeat Dad
Popular Maskandi singer Ntencane, whose real name is Senzo Zondi, is facing allegations of being a deadbeat dad. His ex-partner, singer Nombuso Gcabashe—better known as Ms Levels—claims he has failed to provide financial support for their child, including a modest R1,000 monthly contribution. She also questioned his ability to be a responsible father.
In a video shared on social media, Ms Levels accused Ntencane of letting fame cloud his judgment.
“He is using fame to take advantage of naive girls. He can’t keep his zip closed,” she said.
She revealed that she had caught him cheating multiple times during their relationship. Speaking to ZiMoja, Ms Levels doubled down on her accusations, saying,
“I am not scared of him. I can’t be chasing a man who makes money to pay a mere R1000 for his child but is always out entertaining different girls and friends.”
She also alleged that Ntencane impregnated another woman while they were still together.
“Unfortunately, I can’t say her name because I promise to keep her name out of the media. As we speak, he is expecting a child with another lady who called me because she is also frustrated because of his behaviour. The lady told me he is now ignoring her calls,” she said.
The tension between the two musicians has escalated into a public feud. Over the weekend, Ms Levels released a diss track in response to Ntencane’s earlier song, sparking a heated exchange on social media.
Ntencane’s track, titled Dear Mawomntanami, addressed their breakup and signaled the end of their relationship. In retaliation, Ms Levels released Dear Baba Womntana, which quickly gained traction online. In her song, she accuses Ntencane of abandoning her during her pregnancy and failing to take responsibility as a father.
When called for comment Ncencane said he was not going to endorse the video with an answer.
“I don’t have time to entertain bitterness, I am sure you have better things to report on,” Ntencane said.
