Leeroy Sidambe’s R30 Million Tax Debt
According to a report by Sunday World, Sidambe is facing a substantial debt to the South African Revenue Service (SARS), amounting to nearly R30 million.
SARS has taken legal action by applying for a court order at the Johannesburg High Court, seeking to compel the businessman—owner of Sakhile Ezweni Group, a security company—to settle the outstanding amount, or face the attachment and sale of his assets.

A 17 October letter was purportedly sent to Sidambe, demanding a payment of R29,955,350.74. The letter reveals that the initial debt of R24 million has accumulated over time.
Financial Woes Extend to Spousal Support
This is not the extent of the Zimbabwean-born businessman’s financial troubles. In September, Sunday World reported that he was mandated by the court to provide spousal maintenance and accommodation rent for his estranged wife.
According to the report, Sidambe’s estranged wife secured a court order at the Johannesburg High Court, arguing that he should contribute R156,000 in spousal maintenance. Her argument hinged on the claim that since Sidambe can afford to lavish Mihlali with luxury gifts and vacations, he can certainly afford the stipulated maintenance amount.

The wife contended that Sidambe is paying more for Mihlali’s upmarket cluster house in Bryanston than he is for the bond of their marital home, exceeding R100,000. She also cited a luxurious stay at a 5-star hotel in Mexico, costing about R28,693 per night out of season, as evidence of their extravagant lifestyle.
As part of the court order, Sidambe must also return the luxury Range Rover Vogue Autobiography he had purchased for his wife but was allegedly later gifted to Mihlali.
