Minister of Electricity, Kgosientsho “Sputla” Ramokgopa, typically keeps his private life low-key, much like many other public figures.

However, this week, he and his wife, Georgia Shekeshe, made a rare public appearance together. The couple, who have a 13-year age difference, has been married for nearly a decade.

Charity Drive and Donation Initiative

In a post from his official X account, Minister Ramokgopa shared pictures of a charity drive he and his wife undertook together. The post read:

“Today, my wife and I took the morning to visit Seaparankwe Primary School in Attridgeville to donate school uniforms as I do every year as part of my birthday social responsibility. This year will be our 25th year running the school uniform donation drive in Attridgeville”.

He mentioned that this initiative has been ongoing for 25 years, starting back in 1999 when he first began working as a qualified engineer. He added:

“Together, we initiated this school uniform donation initiative as a way to give dignity to black learners who now sit in the very classrooms we once sat in.”

In the pictures shared by the Minister Kgosientsho, his wife Georgina was dressed in a simple black dress, while he appeared equally casual.
