What The Man Said During The Podcast Episode

The unidentified man said he was Nigerian. He claimed that he married a South African woman and had South African children. However, his timelines did not add up.

He recounted meeting his wife in the UK. In 2010, during the World Cup, they decided to visit South Africa.

“I met my wife in the UK. She’s a South African. So, in 2010, during the World Cup, we decided we were gonna visit. And at that time, we [did] not have children. We decided we’re gonna visit South Africa and watch the World Cup. So, that was my first time entering South Africa. I came with a visitor’s visa because there was no other visa to watch the World Cup. So we came for the World Cup and returned back.”

The man returned to South Africa in 2013 on another visitor’s visa and married his South African wife. He mentioned that his children hold dual citizenship, both Nigerian and South African.
