Motaung, who recently became the face of a prominent alcohol brand, shared that the home-buying process was surprisingly smooth.

I bought from a developer who made it smoother, and I didn’t have to worry about transfer costs, which was a huge advantage,” he explained to Zimoja.

Grateful for the opportunity, he added:

Everything came together just as I’d hoped. We thank God.

At just 28, Motaung views his new property as a first step toward achieving his bigger dreams. He aims to establish a real estate portfolio and become a property mogul.

My main goal is to stay here for a few years, then eventually rent it out and move on to the next property. It’s incredibly empowering to achieve this at a young age.

Motaung revealed that he began the purchasing process in July, opting to buy directly from a developer. This decision spared him from costly transfer fees, making the transition into homeownership easier.

He hopes his journey inspires others to invest in their futures and work toward similar goals.

I’m focused on building a solid foundation for my future, and I hope this journey inspires others to believe they can do the same,” he said.

Reflecting on the unstable nature of the entertainment industry, Motaung emphasized the importance of securing a “Plan B” outside of showbiz.

Our industry doesn’t have a very steady and consistent income,” he remarked.

Since his split from Mhlongo, Motaung has focused on building his brand and exploring new ventures, with this recent purchase marking a significant personal achievement. As he settles into his new role as a homeowner, he remains determined to turn his property dreams into a lasting legacy.
