Late actor Mpho Sebeng has left fans and admirers reeling in pain with his last Instagram post, barely a day before his death.

 

Gone Too Soon

The talented South African actor tragically passed away at the age of 30. He was involved in a car accident in Potchefstroom in the early hours of Sunday, 5 May 2024. Sebeng was known for his roles in several local television shows and films, including ‘Ring of Lies’ and ‘Savage Beauty’.

Born in Soweto, Sebeng had established himself as one of the country’s most formidable actors. His career began with his television debut in the SABC drama series Justice for All. He gained prominence with his significant TV role in ‘Ring of Lies’, which earned him a Best Actor Safta nomination in 2018.

Sebeng’s talent shone through in various shows such as ‘The Brave Ones’ and ‘Miseducation’ on Netflix, ‘The Queen’, ‘The Throne’ and more. His filmography includes roles in Winnie, Ngoma Film, Collision, and The Jakes are Missing, earning him an AMVCA (Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award) Best Supporting Actor nomination in 2017.

Sebeng’s family confirmed his death and requested space to process their loss.

 

Mpho Sebeng Leaves Heartbreak With His Last Instagram Post Before His Death

The late actor posted his last image on Instagram, and it is causing pain. Mpho shared a picture of him lying on a rug. The stylish actor was relaxing with his eyes closed with a soft grin. The Journey by Tom Misch was playing in the background.

He captioned:

“The art of living lies in the mingling of letting go & holding on…”
