Notable music executive Nota Baloyi has been released on bail following a court appearance in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court. The bail was set at R5,000, and the case has been adjourned to November 9th, pending further investigation and verification of communications between Baloyi and the complainant.

Details of the Allegations
The 34-year-old music mogul was detained over the weekend following accusations of rape brought forth by actress and singer Itumeleng Bokaba. Bokaba filed the case at the Douglasdale Police Station, revealing that the two were once romantically involved. Baloyi has publicly acknowledged their past relationship but vehemently denies any allegations of non-consensual activities.

He described how their relationship began in 2017, alleging that Bokaba initially contacted him seeking professional connections with a well-known rapper who referenced her in a song released under Baloyi’s record label. Bokaba’s Response and Stance
Itumeleng Bokaba responded to the media frenzy with a public statement to clarify her position and urge for respect and privacy during this difficult time. In her statement, she emphasized that she never intended this matter to be made public and expressed disappointment in how the information surfaced.
