Some people are cheering on after ten Zimbabweans died in a horrific bus accident in Limpopo last night.
The bus overturned just three kilometers outside Makhado in Limpopo late last night. The vehicle, which was ferrying passengers from Zimbabwe to Johannesburg, crashed after the driver reportedly drove over a roundabout at high speed.
Ten Zimbabweans Die In A Limpopo Bus Accident
Phuti Lekganyane, acting spokesperson for the Limpopo Department of Transport and Community Safety, confirmed the details of the tragic accident.
“According to reports, the bus drove over a roundabout, the last traffic circle from Makhado towards Polokwane, at high speed, lost control and overturned, killing and injuring its passengers in the process,” said Lekganyane.
The accident occurred just before midnight, and all ten of the deceased—five men and five women—are believed to be foreign nationals.

Lekganyane noted that the driver of the bus was reportedly new on the job and unfamiliar with the route.
“The scene has been cleared, and the injured passengers were taken to various hospitals in Makhado,” he added.
In response to the incident, Limpopo MEC for Transport and Community Safety, Violet Mathye, expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased.
“This is a tragic incident, and I pass my condolences to the families of the deceased. I also urge motorists to be alert to their surroundings and to drive with caution at all times.”
