A 1-year-old little girl was r_ped at a daycare facility in Newlands East, Durban, allegedly by the daycare owner’s husband. Mzansi netizens have shown a lot of rage, asking for the husband to be thrown in jail or given a dose of street justice.
The Incident That led to the arrest of the Daycare owner’s Husband
According to Women For Change SA, the heartbreaking incident took place on the 6th of May 2024 when other kids at the facility were taken for swimming lessons by their carers.
The infant would not stop crying after going through the ordeal, and this raised the mother’s suspicions. The mother went on to inspect her child once they got home and found that her private parts were red and swollen.
She immediately took the child to the hospital but was sent home without getting any help. The next day, she went to another doctor who told her that the child was showing signs of abuse, but his hospital did not have any test kits.
It was further revealed that the baby was r_ped by the husband of the daycare owner.
Two days after that, another doctor confirmed that the child was indeed r_aped, and the parents opened a case against the daycare owner’s husband.

Following the mother’s post on social media about the horrific incident, there were further allegations that the suspect had r_ped another girl at the daycare facility. Newlands East police are already investigating the alleged r_pe case.
