Doja Cat Set to Perform in South Africa for the First Time at Hey Neighbour Festival
Grammy-winning American rapper and singer Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, popularly known as Doja Cat, is set to make her South African debut at the Hey Neighbour Festival in August 2025.
The festival will take place at Legends Adventure Farm in Pretoria and will mark the first time the global sensation performs in her father’s home country.

Doja Cat was born in the U.S. to an American mother, a painter, and a South African father, Dumisani Dlamini, who gained fame for his role in Sarafina! The two met while Dlamini was in America with the cast of the acclaimed musical. Their short-lived marriage resulted in two children—Doja Cat and her brother, Raman Dalithando Dlamini.
