Emerging from her recent surgery, Zandi shares her courageous battle with her ailment, shedding light on a journey marked by resilience and fortitude. “I confronted the daunting reality of a brain tumor diagnosis, undoubtedly the most formidable news I’ve ever faced,” she reflects. “It took over a year of grappling with despair before I mustered the resolve to pursue surgery, recognizing it as my sole chance for survival.”
The past year has weighed heavily on Zandi, her struggle concealed from public view until now. “My hospitalization marks the inevitable unveiling of my ailment,” she acknowledges. “Yet, I’m compelled to share my story, to reassure others facing similar trials that victory is within reach. I’ve chosen to fight, urging fellow sufferers to embrace faith and seize the opportunity for healing.”

Reflecting on her journey, Zandi discloses an astonishing revelation – she unwittingly harboured the tumour for nearly eight years. “For close to a decade, I lived unaware of the tumour’s presence, its dimensions likened to that of a lemon,” she discloses. The revelation surfaced following two alarming seizures, occurring first in the UK post-performance and subsequently in Zambia weeks later.
Upon returning home, prompted by a friend’s medical counsel, Zandi pursued a CT scan, culminating in the pivotal diagnosis. “My recovery now rests in divine providence,” she asserts, acknowledging the profound impact of faith in her healing journey.
The Journey to Stardom
Zandi’s ascent to stardom traces back to the release of her chart-topping single ‘Emathandweni,’ featuring the esteemed Nokwazi. Hailing from Esigodini, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, Zandi boasts a diverse repertoire as a House Music aficionado, DJ, and producer, complemented by her academic prowess with a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of South Africa.
