Rhythm City actor; Zola Hashatsi revealed that he’d tested for the virus when he realized he wasn’t ok. He announced the results on social media:

“Dear friends, family and colleagues, please note that my results for Covid-19 came back positive. I will be taking necessary steps in keeping well and protecting others.”

Musician and actor; Brian Themba who played the role of Ranthumeng on Muvhango shared his feelings regarding the virus after his loved ones passed away because of the virus.

“Sometimes we take things for granted and think some of the bad things that happen in the world would not affect us until it’s on your doorstep. A few days ago, I tested positive for Covid-19, when I thought it would be something that wouldn’t get close to me.”

Fired The Queen actor; Mlamli Mangcala was hospitalized for several weeks because of the virus. The star was in ICU as he was unable to walk and struggled with breathing. He developed pneumonia and lost almost 30kg because of the virus.

He posted a picture of himself on Facebook after his recovery:

Kabelo stated:

“training at high intensity compromised my immune system, which made me susceptible to contracting the virus. I started having weird symptoms- a burning sensation in my eyes and nose. Sunday was the day it started getting hectic. I was out cold, shivering.”  Gail contracted the virus after nursing Kabelo.

 “I tested positive for Covid-19, but I’m already quarantining at home and taking my medication. So far, I feel fine and have only experienced mild symptoms.”

“I am living proof of beating Covid-19. 14 days of isolation have been a journey of introspection, new habits, and a return of some old ones…This journey has been an emotional and very psychological battle. The day people understand the power of the mind the better.”

Actress and fashion designer Enhle Mbali has revealed that she has tested positive for Covid-19. The “Sincerely Yours” host penned an Instagram post:

“I also tested positive for Covid as careful as I am. They even make fun of me on set. Yesterday was one of the worst days, I was pretty sure my chest would give in, I gave myself permission to heal and also ask for help.”

Isono, Muvhango, and former The Queen actor; Fezile Makhanya revealed that he recovered from the virus by tweeting: “By the Grace of uMdlai, I survived Covid-19. Wishing all those still going through it a speedy recovery. PS: steaming 3 times a day with eucalyptus oil really helps.”

Lerato Zah Moloi

Former Rhythm City and Muvhango actress; Lerato Zah Moloi warned her followers about the dangers of the virus after testing positive.

She revealed her symptoms on social media:

“I’ve been contemplating posting this video and telling my story because generally, I am a private person and a shy person, believe it or not…I don’t put my life out there and I hardly post on social media. I tested positive for Covid-19 a couple of days ago. Let me get real, Covid-19 is real and it’s an invisible enemy.”
