Siya Raymond Sepotokele who plays a gay role in Mzansi’s award-winning novella; The River joined the cast of Muvhango briefly to play the role of Dr. Sechaba who lives with cancer.

Although the actor was on the SABC 2 soapie for less than three months, viewers of the show loved him so much they wished he’d stayed longer on the show.

The actor had this to say about his role: “It was quite exciting for me because I was getting into a new space. I had never really shot soapie style before. Every character I take is a challenge. I just always make sure to put in the work.”

Teddy: Gomora

Award-winning actor; Sicelo Buthelezi who plays the role of Teddy has been showered with praises since he made his debut on the show. He recently walked away with the Outstanding Newcomer award at the 2020 Royalty Soapie awards that validated his outstanding performance on the show.

The actor had this to say after winning the award: “When it happened, I was overwhelmed. I was mostly worried about myself, that maybe I might drown in this pool of people congratulating me and applauding me every time.”

Actress, Lunathi Mpofu shocked soapie lovers when she reprised her role as the devious Emma in the popular telenovela The River.

In the previous season, Emma was ‘killed off’ after a showdown with lead character; Lindiwe Dikana but returned with a bun in the oven in Days of Our Lives style this season.

It’s one thing for fans to love to hate you and another thing for producers to completely be mesmerized by you.

The actress shocked fans when she left her long-time role of  Esti Fouche to play Elizabeth Price in The Legacy.

Reandi Grey, in her own words, said goodbye to the cast, crew, and fans of 7de Laan in a sweet post on Instagram. By the looks of it, she’s retired the character of Esti Fouche, unless 7de Laan decides to recast the role.

Fans are wowed by her talent on the show where she acts with award-winning actors such as Kgomotso Christopher, Michelle Botes, and Siyabonga Thwala.

Nolwandle: Isibaya

Wendy started off writing for Isibaya in October last year and now she’s starring in the Zulu series as Nolwandle. The content producer majored in the drama along with film and TV production and media studies.

After she graduated, the actress realized how hard it is to get into the industry and created an online presence. She started doing satires, got the attention of the right people, and ultimately got the role of Nolwandle on Isibaya.
