Matlala took to his TikTok page to set the record straight, assuring fans and followers that he is alive and in good health.

Rumours of a Heart Attack Spread
On Thursday morning, social media was abuzz with rumours that Nico Matlala had died after suffering a heart attack.
A post seen by TimesLives circulating online stated that,
“He had a heart attack, and he was in hospital. He passed on upon arrival last night. May his soul rest in peace.”
Matlala Responds to the Claims
In response to the rumours, Nico Matlala addressed his followers on TikTok, expressing frustration over the false news.
“It seems my absence on social media is bothering people to a point they even fake my death because they don’t know what I am up to,” he said.
Matlala promised to address the individuals behind the rumours directly later that evening.
“Tonight, at 6:30, I’ll be addressing the negativity of people. Join us. Let us all destroy the negative of our nation. Our black people are now turning against each other, wishing bad things to happen in other people’s lives,” he added.
A Call to End Negativity
Matlala expressed his disappointment in the negativity that has been surrounding him, particularly from his own community.
“Tonight I will be addressing the people who were responding negatively about me. I was quiet. Do you want me to talk? Then I will talk,” he stated firmly, hinting at a more in-depth discussion during his live session.
