Nigerian Woman Goes On With Wedding Alone A Day After Husband Is Kidnapped

A Nigerian lady showed remarkable courage and resilience by going ahead with her wedding ceremony alone after her husband was kidnapped a day before their big day.

The lady, whose name was not disclosed, had planned to tie the knot with her lover after he paid her bride price. However, tragedy struck when unknown gunmen abducted her fiance on the eve of their wedding.

According to Victoria Crystal Event, a TikTok user who shared the story, the lady’s event company had arranged everything for the wedding, and all the vendors were on the ground.

They tried to contact the kidnappers and secure the groom’s release but to no avail. They also reported the incident to the police, but no information was forthcoming.

The lady was devastated, but she refused to cancel the wedding. Despite her fiance’s absence, she decided to go ahead with the ceremony as planned. She appeared before the guests and danced in front of her fiance’s photograph at the wedding venue.

Victoria Crystal Event praised the lady for her strength and bravery, saying she broke a record by marrying herself. She also revealed that the groom was eventually freed eight days later, and they had another wedding ceremony.

The video of the lady’s solo wedding has gone viral on social media, with many people expressing their confusion and shock at her situation.
