Nota Baloyi Speaks About His Prison Experience After Being Released
Controversial music executive Nhlamulo “Nota” Baloyi has broken his silence following his release from Johannesburg Prison, commonly known as Sun City, on Monday, November 25.
The 34-year-old is now under correctional supervision after serving 15 days of a 60-day sentence handed down by the Joburg High Court in March 2023. The sentence stemmed from a defamation case brought against him by rapper Ntokozo Mdluli, popularly known as K.O., over social media allegations.

Reflecting on his time behind bars, Nota described the ordeal as deeply unsettling.
“It’s very difficult in there, spending time and sharing a room with murderers, rapists, and all kinds of monsters. It’s very difficult to survive in there,” he told Daily Sun.

Nota Reveals His Last Prison Meal And Christmas Plans
Nota shared personal details about his last moments in prison, including his final meal and his first meal upon release.
“My last meal in prison was Chicken Licken, and after being released, I had pasta from Food Lovers Market,” he said.
Despite the difficulties, Nota expressed relief at being home and excitement about the upcoming holiday season.
“Last year, I didn’t spend Christmas at home. I was in Miami, Florida. This time around, I’m looking forward to spending Christmas at home with my parents,” he said.

Legal Troubles Continue
However, Nota’s legal challenges are far from resolved. He is currently out on R5,000 bail in connection with a pending rape case involving an actress and singer. The case is set to continue in 2025, casting uncertainty over how long he will remain free.
