Ex-Orlando Pirates coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has bid farewell to his role as the head coach of Uganda’s national team, the Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has confirmed.

The AFCON Miss

Despite a 2-0 victory over Niger, the Uganda Cranes faced a heartbreaking exit from AFCON 2023 qualification. Tanzania and Algeria clinched their tickets to the tournament, while Uganda fell short.

A crucial draw between Tanzania and Algeria on the final day of the qualifiers left the Taifa Stars with eight points in Group F, just one more than Uganda’s third-placed finish.

Algeria secured the top spot with an impressive 16 points.
