Official: Kaizer Chiefs Reveal Fixture Update
Kaizer Chiefs have made a noteworthy adjustment to the kickoff time for their highly anticipated DStv Premiership encounter against Royal AM.
Originally scheduled to commence at 20:00 on Saturday, 16 September, at the iconic FNB Stadium, the kick-off has now been rescheduled to an earlier time, specifically 17:30.
The Amakhosi, as they are affectionately known, have faced some challenges in their recent encounters with Royal AM.
Ever since Thwihli Thwahla acquired the status of Bloemfontein Celtic ahead of the 2021/22 season, they have struggled to secure a victory in the first three official matches against their opponents, experiencing defeat on all three occasions.
However, their fortunes took a turn for the better in the last campaign when they clinched a 2-0 win on their home turf.
Moreover, they managed to triumph 2-1 after extra-time in the Nedbank Cup, proving their ability to rise to the occasion.

The Chiefs demonstrated their prowess by defeating AmaZulu and Stellenbosch in the league. In a thrilling MTN8 semi-final first-leg showdown, they held Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-1 draw.
On the other hand, Royal AM displayed their mettle by securing a 1-0 victory against Ts Galaxy and triumphing 3-2 over Chippa United.
The DStv Premiership resumes its league action with a Friday clash, featuring Moroka Swallows hosting Richards Bay, who has impressively remained unbeaten in 19 consecutive games.
This weekend, due to the participation of Sundowns, Orlando Pirates, SuperSport United, and Sekhukhune United in the CAF inter-club competitions, there are only two additional league matches aside from the Chiefs vs. Royal AM encounter.
On Saturday, Golden Arrows will be playing host to Stellenbosch FC, while AmaZulu will extend a warm welcome to Cape Town City on Sunday.
However, the excitement of league action doesn’t stop there. Fans can anticipate more riveting matches on Tuesday and Wednesday as all teams make their eagerly awaited return to the pitch.
