Oscar Mbo’s Response to Allegations

In response to Makhadzi’s allegations in a video seen by Sunday World, Oscar Mbo explained that the issue stemmed from an agreement with the event promoter, which split their performance times. According to him, he was set to perform for 20 minutes, followed by Makhadzi’s 20-minute set.

I have said it over the phone, and I am saying it again; if that did really happen, I am saying sorry, my sister,” Oscar Mbo stated.

He further added,

The common denominator is the event promoter; that is why I said let us get them to issue out a statement regarding the incident.”

Social Media Backlash

Oscar Mbo faced harsh criticism online, with many fans accusing him of sabotaging Makhadzi’s performance. Frustrated by the backlash, he questioned why Makhadzi remained silent about the issue between 4 am and 3 pm the next day, suggesting that the timing of her complaint fueled public outrage.

He also expressed his concerns about the negative impact of social media attacks, saying,

I am receiving criticism from people calling me a villain.”

Calls for Accountability from Event Organizers

Oscar Mbo reiterated that the true blame lies with the event promoter and organizer, urging the public to direct their frustration toward them.

Can we please be on the same page and attack the people who are in the wrong, which is the event promoter and organizer?” he stated, emphasizing the need for clarity from the event’s management team.

Makhadzi has since deleted her initial post venting her frustrations, although the issue has continued to spark debate among fans and followers.
