A security guard has recently raised suspicion for standing still, watching robbers steal from a jewellery store at a mall, as CCTV recorded everything
The robbery occurred at a Kay Jewelers outlet in South Africa.
Security Guard Watches On As Robbers Target Jewellery Store
The security guard was going about his duties at the mall. Three masked men rushed to the jewellery store, wearing black hoodies and balaclavas to conceal their identities.
They smashed the display cases housing the precious ornaments that included necklaces, chains, bracelets and rings, among other things. The robbers seemed unfazed that the police or security guard could capture them at the store at a corner of the big mall.
One of the men snatched as much jewellery as he could before making a dash and sprinting to a getaway car. His two accomplices seemed greedier and remained behind.
In all this, the security guard seemed unsure of what to do. However, he did not exude the genuine urgency of an alert security guard.

Pretending To Act
The slower pace of the robbers raised suspicion that they knew they had cover.
When the last robber ran off, he made a glance at the security guard before sprinting away. The watchman looked sideways to ensure no one noticed the drama before running after the thieves seconds later.
He forgot that one of the CCTV cameras in the mall had witnessed all the action.
