Pearl Mbewe , estranged wife of celebrated actor Sello Maake Ka Ncube, and her close friend and PR client, Lebo Keswa face off with the celebrated actor at court. The two women appeared in court after Sello accused them of infidelity and sought a protection order against them. Sello served both Pearl and Lebo with protection orders, which Pearl initially refused to sign. “I can’t sign something I haven’t read,” she explained. She accused Sello of being “jealous and controlling” and has further alleged that he subjected her to mental and physical abuse. On the other hand, Sello maintains his claims of infidelity, adding another layer of complexity to the situation.

Outside the courtroom, Lebo expressed frustration over her inability to fully address the matter due to legal restrictions. “I want to speak, but I can’t disclose much because the case is sub judice,” she told *ZiMoja*. Despite the seriousness of the situation, she managed to maintain a lighthearted demeanor, referring to Pearl as “Mabebeza” while leaving the court in an African-print outfit. Lebo later shared snippets of her court experience on social media, emphasizing her eagerness to reveal more once allowed.
The case has been postponed to January 24, 2025, leaving all parties with more time to prepare for the next legal showdown.
Explosive Accusations
The heart of the controversy lies in Sello’s allegations that Lebo and Pearl are romantically involved—a claim Pearl vehemently denies.
“This is lunacy! I have more gay friends than straight ones, and now I’m being accused of this?” she exclaimed in frustration.

Lebo, equally indignant, shared her perspective, accusing Sello of insecurity and overreacting.
