Penny Lebyane Takes DJ Fresh To Court!

DJ Fresh’s ex-girlfriend, Penny Lebyane has dragged him to court in another episode of the DJ’s legal troubles.

Lebyane will be accompanied by outspoken media personality, Ntsiki Mazwai will be taking the 94.7 DJ to court this Wednesday. Fresh and Lebyane were in a relationship 20 years ago!

Lebyane wants to clear her name as Fresh called her toxic and “unstable”.Things went south when Lebyane talked about her toxic and sexual predator ex-boyfriend and fans assumed that she was referring to DJ Fresh.

Mazwai also came forward in a tweet to say that DJ Fresh forced himself on her 17 years ago.

Lebyane stated:

“In his founding affidavit, he cites that I originated the post that Ntsiki retweeted, which is not true. The second thing he says [is about] a restraining order against me from whatever years ago, which to my knowledge is not true. We are questioning how you mention me in a court document without giving me a right to answer for myself. I also want to understand how whatever decision the judge makes against Ntsiki affects me.”

This is not the first case of sexual harassment the DJ is caught up in. The 94.7 DJ and his BFF, Euphonik have both been taken off air currently in light of the rape charges that they’re facing.

A woman came forward and detailed in a tweet how the two DJ’s drugged and raped her. The duo has denied raping the woman and also launched charges of their own, possible defamation of character.

Other high-profile media personalities such as poet; Lebo Mashile and author, journalist, and talk show host Redi Thlabi have voiced their support for the woman who has accused two radio DJs of rape on social media.

Thlabi wrote:

“I believe her. Even when the accused is a respected peer, I believe her. The allegations are too serious to ignore.”

“I have a warm relationship of mutual respect with one of the accused. I say this deliberately because often we don’t believe victims precisely because we falsely assume men we know are not capable of certain actions. This contributes to doubt and victimisation of the victim. It’s wrong.”

Mashile commented:

“I believe you Sisi. These two have been named in far too many stories of abuse. It’s consistent …”

Both DJ’s stood in solidarity on social media:

“In light of the serious allegations leveled against us, we’ve decided to step away from all public work engagements until … this matter has been resolved and the law has taken its course.”

The rape apparently occurred at a party back in 2011!

Although the duo claimed they’ve reached a mutual agreement with the station and they would come off air, their followers in Mzansi believe they were actually suspended.

Gauteng police authorities confirmed a case against the two men had been opened on January 13 at Sunnyside police station and the allegations were posted on Twitter.
