Trending pictures of Grammy Award-winning singer Tyla in the bathroom have caused a stir on social media.

The Near-Perfect Young Global Star

Tyla Laura Seethal has probably been the biggest South African export since 2023. She is also arguably one of the biggest African stars in the limelight at the moment.

Her breakout hit “Water” released in 2023, propelled her to international fame. The song sparked a viral dance trend on TikTok with millions of views.

It became a major hit, reaching the Top 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US and topping the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart. Tyla also won the first-ever Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance with “Water” at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in February 2024. This also made her the youngest-ever African artist to win a Grammy.

Since storming the global scene, Tyla’s reputation and image has been squeaky clean. However, it appears none is without fault.
