ProVerb To Replace DJ Fresh, Euphonik After Leaving Kaya FM?
Media personality, TV and radio presenter ProVerb has sent the internet into overdrive after announcing that he has left Kaya FM.
The radio personality, real name Tebogo Sidney Thapelo Thekisho, leaves Kaya FM after four years at the station where he hosted Kayasette on Fridays and The Winner’s Circle on Saturday.
However, given the timing of the news, this has led to speculation online that ProVerb is set to replace DJ Fresh and Euphonik at music radio station 947. Barely 24 hours ago, the two well-known radio personalities were fired from 947 by Primedia Broadcasting following rape allegations raised against them.
The DJs fell from grace when they brought the station and the company into disrepute after they were accused of drugging and raping a university student at a party back in 2011.
The alleged victim made a series of posts on social media platform Twitter in which she accused the pair of raping her and laughing about it afterwards. She went on to say that at the time of the alleged rape she was still a virgin and that she is now taking anti-anxiety medication due to the trauma.
Mzansi social media users were quick to note the timing and opined that the ProVerb is switching from Kaya FM to 947 Station.
