Nandipha Magudumana, a well-known aesthetics doctor, appeared in court for the fourth time alongside her co-accused Thabo Bester. The duo is facing 16 criminal charges, including corruption, fraud, arson, and defeating the ends of justice. After being accused of “pretty privilege” for not having to appear in person in court, her smirking facial expressions fed into the criticism and drew a strong response from social media users. One Twitter user commented that Nandipha was mocking the court and disregarding the family that lost their son, while another described her as “evil.”

Nandipha Magudumana’s Court Case Adjourned
After just five minutes in court, Nandipha’s case was adjourned until June 20th, the same date that Thabo Bester will return to court. Nandipha waived her right to make a bail application, choosing instead to remain in custody at the prison.
Despite the controversy surrounding her, Nandipha Magudumana continues to face the criminal charges alongside her co-accused Thabo Bester.
