Quirky Cravings: Unveiling the Woman Who Eats Toilet Paper

Folks often associate addiction with cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, or even chocolate. But there’s a woman who’s been hogging the global spotlight for her rather unconventional craving: chomping down on toilet paper.

Meet Kinah Moore, the talk of the town. She openly confesses to consuming a staggering two whole rolls of toilet paper daily, and sometimes even pushing the tally to four.

Unravelling the Unconventional Craving: Meet the Woman who eats Toilet Paper

Just recently, Kinah made an appearance on This Morning, where she spilled the beans on her paper-eating habit. She shared,

“I get my thousand sheets and sometimes I look up and I’ll be two or three rolls in and that’s from eight o’clock until seven pm and I’m just munching. It can get pretty obsessive.”

The Curious Origins of an Unusual Habit

Kinah also shed light on her situation, revealing that she grapples with Pica, an eating disorder that drives people to devour items devoid of any nutritional value—things like plastic, paper, or even soap.

“It began when I was about eight years old. It started off with things like baking soda or like baking powder and then one day, I don’t know what possessed me to try toilet paper, but I tried toilet paper, and it was just my thing. I just knew it was my thing. There was something about the texture. You know like, the baking soda dissolved too fast, baking powder was too fizzy, and the toilet paper’s just like… it sticks. I don’t know. I can’t explain it. It just stuck with me,” Kinah told This Morning.

She continued,

“I believe it was a craving because I used to crave a bunch of different things. My great-grandmother actually used to eat flour. So… I dunno. It was just a craving that I had and everything else dissolved too fast but the toilet paper was like, the cotton candy that doesn’t melt. It was like perfect.”

Kinah went on to mention that both her sister and mother have their own peculiar food quirks, but she takes the crown for the most unusual. She boldly claimed that her health hadn’t suffered any setbacks due to her habit and even encouraged others to “give it a try,” insisting that “it actually tastes pretty good.”

Paper, Pica, and Health Hazards: Doctor’s Concerns Amid Kinah’s Confession

However, while Kinah remains steadfast in her conviction that her health is intact, Dr Sara from This Morning offered a word of caution. She warned viewers against indulging in toilet paper snacks, revealing that Kinah’s condition, Pica, can be hazardous and harmful.

Dr Sara explained,

“In terms of toilet paper and paper, that’s known as xylophagia, and the problem with toilet paper is that it’s not easily digested by our bodies and can cause blockages in our digestive tracts, it can lead to stomach pains, blood in your stool, vomiting, constipation, and in severe cases it can even require surgical intervention.”

Despite Dr Sara’s grave warning, the hosts redirected the conversation to Kinah, commenting on how radiant she looked.

Just in case you were still wondering: steer clear of the toilet paper menu.
