The twins stated:” We have always been like this. We spend a lot of time together as sisters. We are not in a relationship with each other or anyone else and we are not planning to start our own families anytime soon”. They also stated that they prefer polygamous marriage when they get married.

Rumours of the sister’s sexual chemistry and dating started on SA idols when fans noticed that they hug and kiss each other way more than normal/usual sisters would. They usually showed affection towards each other on stage when they made it through to the next round.

Some of their fans have also defended claims that the sisters are dating by saying:” This is normal behaviour by girls. Girls hug and kiss all the time. Even girlfriends do it and other relatives; mother and daughters or aunts”.

In May of this year, the idols Qwabe twins bought their first cars; BMW 5 Series which they showed fans on their Instagram pages. Their boss; al Tira congratulated them on Instagram:” Congrats @official.ciwabetwins.”

Although the sisters didn’t make it all the way to the finals, they’ve become popular and have become successful since exiting the competition and joining al Tira’s music label.
