In an exclusive interview with Daily Sun, downtrodden Mohlala shared his hardship in supporting his 20-year-old son’s dreams due to financial constraints.
“With my depth of knowledge in music, I’m down and out, struggling to pay for my son’s studies.”
He revealed his struggle to gather the necessary R30,000 to cover his son’s fees. Mohlala appealed for financial assistance to ensure his son’s education continues

Karabo Mohlala lamented being overlooked in the South African music scene, despite his significant contributions. He expressed sadness over the lack of gigs and opportunities, emphasizing the need to support his family through his passion for music.
“It’s very sad, especially being one of the artists who contributed to change in Mzansi. I feel left out in the cold. I’m appealing for gigs so that I can support my family.
