‘I’m Still Alive and I’m Going to Live a Long Life!’: Rhythm City’s Sabelo Actor Ishmauel Songo Dismisses Fake Death Reports
Former Rhythm City actor Ishmauel Songo has strongly denied false reports claiming he had passed away.
The hoax, which spread across social media, used a recent image of Songo alongside a picture of him portraying a drug addict, falsely suggesting that he had overdosed.
Songo Responds to False Claims
Reacting to the death rumours, Ishmauel Songo expressed disbelief over how easily misinformation spreads in a video shared on his Instagram account.
“So, apparently, I’m dead. I’m deceased—according to social media. Where do I even start? The first time around, they said I was a drug addict,” he said.
He also addressed past claims that he was homeless and had lost his house.
“They photoshopped a picture of me playing a drug addict and claimed that I was one in real life. They also took to social media, saying I had lost my house and was living on the streets.”

Maturity and Perspective
Songo reflected on how such false narratives might have affected him in the past but emphasized that he has grown wiser.
“The younger version of me would have reacted differently. But the Ishmauel of today is way too smart and way too mature. If attention is coming my way—whether negative or positive—it means I’m relevant, right?”
A Message to His Supporters
Despite the rumours, Songo remains optimistic about his future and his mission in life.
“Well, guess what? I’m still alive, and I’m going to live a long life. I am here on earth for a purpose: to change lives,” he concluded.
