Rich Homie Quan, whose real name was Dequantes Lamar, tragically passed away at the age of 34 in his Atlanta home on the morning of Thursday, September 5, 2024. Known for his impactful presence in the hip-hop world, Quan’s death was confirmed by his girlfriend, Amber Williams, and the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.
According to reports, Williams had seen Quan lying on the couch before leaving to drop off their son at school. Upon returning, she noticed that he had not moved. Alarmed, she called 911, reporting that he was not breathing and had no heartbeat. Authorities later confirmed that Quan had passed away at his home.
Erica Banks Faces Backlash for Instagram Tribute
Shortly after the tragic news broke, Erica Banks posted a tribute to Quan on Instagram, which quickly sparked outrage online. Banks, who seemingly was in a secret romantic relationship with Quan, shared a series of intimate moments between them, including footage of Quan kissing her and lying in her lap.
The now-deleted post which was seen by The Shaderoom, included a heartfelt caption where Banks reflected on Quan’s search for happiness and his unfulfilled plans.
