Rotimi Proposes to Girlfriend Vanessa Mdee
It’s the last day of 2020 and to wrap it up Rotimi is engaged.
The Power star proposed to his Tanzanian girlfriend, Vanessa Mdee last night. A video shared by Instagram user @itskeyzbaby shows Rotimi on bended knee proposing to Vanessa. She screamed and cried whilst accepting the proposal. The couple embraces as other people cheer them on. Rotimi’s ‘Love Somebody’ can be heard playing in the background.
In another video, the couple is having dessert inscribed ‘Congratulations’. With well-manicured nails, Vee as she’s affectionately known, showed off a large diamond ring.
Vanessa shared the good news on her Instagram page. She shared two videos including a past interview in which she stated that the ‘In My Bed’ singer was her husband. She captioned, “The answer is YES!!!”
She added, “A year and a half ago the world laughed at me when I said I knew YOU were my husband only days after spending time with you. I didn’t blame them, after all, it’s an uncommon and inexplicable feeling when you meet your soulmate.”

Rotimi then took to his Instagram to confirm the news. He also posted a video of the engagement ring. He captioned, “She said YES!” He continued, “You are my everything My angel In 2015 I prayed that whoever my wife was going to be and wherever she was at the moment I hoped that she was happy, having a good day and receiving GODS abundance.”
“Fast forward YOU you make me such a better man I’m in debt to GOD for you. I will pay him back by loving you giving you everything that you deserve Nakupenda.”

Rotimi and Mdee first went public with their relationship last year and quarantined together. The couple told us they first met at the ESSENCE Festival.
