The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has released an official statement addressing the speculations about the alleged suspensions of Metro FM presenters Luthando Lootlove Shosha and Lamiez Holworthy.
SABC’s Official Response to the DJs’ Alleged Suspension
Mmoni Seapolelo, the SABC’s Acting Group Executive, confirmed that Lootlove has been temporarily removed from her show, which she co-hosts with Tbo Touch. Although the specific reasons for her temporary unscheduling were not disclosed, the SABC emphasized that its editorial policies prohibit employees from publicly affiliating with political parties.

Lamiez Holworthy’s Status At Metro FM
Contrary to the rumours, Lamiez Holworthy has not been affected by any suspension or rescheduling. She continues to co-host the Penthouse Sessions with Lulo Cafe every Saturday. The statement specified that the DJ was not even temporarily suspended like Lootlove. Nothing is also said about her publicly endorsing the ANC during the election period.
