Season Finale Tambai Super 8: Clash of The Giants – Super Sunday Social Football In Harare: Who Will Lift The Trophy?
Sunday the 11th of December marks the end of Tambai Super 8 League which was so full of surprises every weekend. This league promoted the mushrooming of new raw talent which can be used in our own Premier Soccer League and Abroad if natured well. However, it also pinpointed the loss of natural talent which is being left out of football systems due to a lack of exposure and good connections.
This Sunday all roads lead to the University Of Zimbabwe grounds which will be used to host the last 5 matches of the season and this will also decide the winners of the league. It has been a thrilling season that saw two teams being giants and known for their winning streaks.
As it stands now controversial City Stars are in the second spot of the league with 12 games unbeaten but they are left with 2 games in hand that will be played on Sunday. If they are to win all games they will become winners of the League. The current second-placed team have some issues unsolved which also diminish or show some lope holes in the league when the governing body is failing to exercise its constitutional powers to deal with lawbreakers.
The problem came up when City Stars used 5 premier league players in a single match but the Tambai Super 8 has it in the constitution that only 3 players will be used in a single match. On a normal basis, the governing body should deduct or be supposed to deduct 3 points or nullify the results but the result still stands
The 1st-placed team Bonding FC which is giving its all to increase the gap on City Stars has a tricky match with Midlands State University which has gained momentum from previous games that they won.
