Sechaba Moloi Sends A Motivational Message To Actors Losing Jobs
Former Isidingo actor Motlatsi Mafatshe has reassured his fellow actors that everything will be alright for them. Motlatsi who effortlessly played the role of Sechaba Moloi for over nine years on popular SABC 3 soapie Isidingo gave the message of support to his fellow cadres, at a time when many actors are losing their jobs due to the cancelling of several television shows.
Motlatsi who is also a renowned musician with more than 400 singles to his name, reassured his fellow thespians that he has walked this road before and that he knows what he is talking about. He counselled those in the entertainment industry who may be affected by the job losses, to keep their passion and drive burning until they land on their feet in other productions.
Writing on social media platform Twitter on Tuesday, Motlasti wrote,
So many shows being wrapped and actors going back to the hustle. And redirecting their energies…
I’ve been that road before and just want to reassure you that its gonna be alright.
Let the passion and drive not die. Kuzoba grand it’s only a matter of time. Keep your head up.

The all-round media personality is very similar to his scheming character on Isidingo. Much like Sechaba Moloi, Motlatsi is also a go-getter. Apart from music and the screen, the award-winning actor is also a director. The star directed several episodes of Isidingo and has plans to continue to refine his art.
Motlatsi has nothing but appreciation for the way the producers of Isidingo allowed him to flourish. In an interview with the SowetanLive, he said,
“Isidingo allowed me to grow so much. I started out as a young actor and by the end was directing scenes. The producers really allowed me so much freedom and I appreciate that.
“…I don’t know why they decided to cut the show, they have given their reasons but I still question it. Maybe the plan was always to learn as much as we can and then plug into other spaces, other productions.”
