One of Skeem Saam’s original actors who have been with the show since day one, Cornet Mamabolo, starring as Thabo Maputla never ceases to amaze us – even off-screen.

The 30-year-old actor whose character is considered the heart of Skeem Saam has always remarked that even before he was famous and got a breakthrough, he always knew he was a powerhouse, destined for bigger things.

He is not just an actor, but a successful businessman who has ventured into a number of side gigs apart from his screen role.

Cornet Mamobolo owns a funeral insurance broker called Digni Financial services and a clothing brand, Cutty Denim among many businesses he has tried out.

After marrying his long-time girlfriend and mother to his child in a private traditional wedding, Thabo believes he needed to work hard and ensure the businesses are the only way to safeguard his family and kids.

 “I believe in creating wealth now while I’m young, so I can accrue the benefits of my hard labour later,” he said.

Business is no walk in the park, but it’s rewarding in the end. Young people are scared of taking risks, but in business that’s what one does,” he said as he called upon every young person to grab business opportunities.

“Yes, there are challenges. But they don’t outweigh the comfort of knowing you have something to call your own,” he added.

Taking to his Instagram page, the actor boasts that he has been wealthy as at an early age.

Cornet Mamabolo’s net worth is currently unknown but sources claim he is one of Skeem Saam’s highest-paid actor with a salary range of R30 000 to R50 000. With his successful businesses and side gigs, it’s not surprising if he is already a millionaire or working towards being one.
