Senzo Meyiwa’s Brother Dismisses Zandie Khumalo’s Claims on His Murder
Sifiso Meyiwa, brother of the late South African soccer star Senzo Meyiwa, has rejected recent claims made by singer Zandie Khumalo-Gumede regarding the circumstances surrounding Senzo’s murder.
He believes Zandie Khumalo-Gumede is attempting to mislead the public by shifting the blame.
Zandie Khumalo’s Allegations over Senzo Meyiwa’s Murder Spark Controversy
Zandie Khumalo-Gumede, who was present at the scene of the murder, recently shared her perspective, alleging that the attackers had come with the intention of targeting her sister, Kelly Khumalo, rather than Senzo.
She also suggested that Senzo’s widow, Mandisa Mkhize, may have been involved by hiring hitmen to carry out the murder.
Sifiso Meyiwa Responds to Zandie Khumalo’s Statements
Reacting to Zandile Khumalo-Gumede’s statements, Sifiso expressed his disapproval and insisted that her claims hold no truth.
“Uyeyisa lo (she’s being disrespectful),” Sifiso stated, arguing that Khumalo-Gumede’s remarks are an attempt to avoid responsibility.
Sifiso told Zimoja that he will entertain the idea that Mandisa hired hitmen to get his brother killed. He argued that Longwe Twala is the one that is guilty.
“I will not entertain that. We all know Longwe Twala is guilty. As to what exactly happened, we will hear when some witnesses take the stand. She’s shifting the blame. First, she cried crocodile tears in court; now she is coming with a different agenda.”
Sifiso also highlighted his confidence in the forthcoming testimonies from witnesses who were present at the scene.
“They are still going back and forth in court, but we are waiting for some witnesses who will take the stand soon. Some from KZN and some from Joburg who were present on the night. That is when the truth will come out,” he stated.
He added that the court’s proceedings will ultimately reveal what truly happened on the tragic night of Senzo’s death.
