Seputla Sebogodi and Real Life Son Now Together On The River
The news of veteran actor, Seputla Sebogodi joining One Magic’s The River has really got fans excited.
Outside the fact that the ex-Generations actor who stars as Mohumi, will be playing as Lindiwe Dikana (Sindi Dlathu) archenemy, fans are also mesmerized by the fact that Sebogodi will star together with his first born son Thapelo Sebogodi who portrays the character of a witty taxi driver, Khabzela
Many believe this was a great casting call, as Seputla Sebogodi is a seasoned actor and ispretty good at playing resident baddies.
His stint as the evil Kenneth Mashaba on Generations before it was rebooted is unforgettably the best and will always be among one of his best roles.
This is not the first time the father and son duo have worked together on a film production.
As a child, Thapelo and his brother were once cast on Suburban Bliss in which Seputla Sebogodi played the lead.
Seputla Sebogodi and Thapelo Sebogodi also once shared the stage on Flak My Son, a theatre production in Pretoria.
Seputla has always maintained that he sees himself in his son and he is proud of him.
“Thapelo is a lot like me. But he’s a better version of me. He’s better looking, smarter and very hardworking.”
Interestingly Thapelo said he had no intentions of becoming an actor and he actually hated it, but when he got his first casting in Suburban Bliss with his dad, he never looked back and he draws his inspiration from him, as he spent a lot of time watching him in action on sets.
With his dad on The River, it has definitely become a full circle.
