ShaSha’s Former Manager Blahtee has Died Aged 37

In a deeply saddening development, the entertainment industry has been plunged into mourning following the untimely demise of artist manager Tanyaradzwa Muchemwa, popularly known as Blahtee.

Tanyaradzwa Muchemwa, who was 37, died on Tuesday morning. While his family confirmed his death, they chose not to reveal the cause.

The Zimbabwean-born, Joburg-based podcaster made a name for himself in the music industry, managing artists such as producer Mr Kamera, FLVME, Tony Duardo, Shasha, Ggoldie, and amapiano vocalist Chley.

Family Mourns the Death of Tanyaradzwa ‘Blahtee’ Muchemwa

In an official statement, Muchemwa’s family expressed their deep sorrow over his passing, which occurred on the morning of Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

“It is with extreme pain and sadness that we acknowledge the passing of our beloved friend Blahtee and confirm his untimely passing this morning of Tuesday, August 20, 2024,” they said.

The family went on to describe the profound impact Blahtee had on their lives. He leaves behind his wife, Bella, and their cherished daughter, Tshiamo.

“To us, Tanyaradzwa ‘Blahtee’ Muchemwa was a friend, brother, nephew, cousin, and most importantly, husband to his loving wife Bella and father to his beloved daughter Tshiamo,” the statement further reads.

Request for Privacy

As they navigate this difficult time, the Muchemwa family has requested privacy and space to mourn. They also extended their gratitude to Blahtee’s colleagues in the music industry for their support.

“As we process the next couple of days, we plead for your compassion, space, and time to congregate as family and friends while we go through this time of grieving. We thank you for the love and support we have received thus far and ask you to continue to keep his memory alive and us in your prayers,” the statement read.

Music Industry Mourns

Friends and colleagues from the industry have taken to social media to share their condolences and memories of Blahtee. At the time of writing, the family had not yet provided details regarding his memorial and funeral arrangements.
