She Was Expecting Triplets, He Was Expecting Blood: The Brutal Murder of Busisiwe Ngubo by Her Cop Lover

A rogue cop from KZN has been nabbed for the brutal murder of his girlfriend, who was carrying three boys in her womb, and dumping her body like trash on the roadside.

Busisiwe Ngubo, 35, was found dead near her home in Ehlanzeni, Ixopo, on Monday. She was supposed to deliver her triplets the next day.

News24 The killer cop, 46, was arrested on Friday and will face the music in court on Monday.

Sources say he was furious about Busisiwe’s pregnancy and accused her of sleeping around.

Busisiwe had sent a voice note to a relative on Sunday, saying she was going to see him. That was the last time anyone heard from her.

Family Coming To Terms With The Horrific Loss

Her cousin and family spokesperson Mandla Ngcobo said they were heartbroken and outraged by her death. They were also stunned to find out that she was having triplets, as she had only told them about twins.

“We were already happy to welcome two new lives into our family, and now we heard there would have been three. Sadly, none of the babies will ever see the light of day.”

Ngcobo said the family never met the murderer, who was a well-known cop in the area. He said Busisiwe had been dating him for more than four years, but he never came to see her family or introduce himself.

“It is shocking. We don’t know what happened between them or why he did this to her. We want justice for her and her babies.”

Social Development MEC Nonhlanhla Khoza visited the family on Friday and offered her sympathy. She also called on the cops to deal with the matter swiftly and transparently.

“Four innocent lives have been cruelly extinguished by the actions of an individual devoid of empathy, a tragic violation of Ngubo’s rights. Unravelling the truth and holding the guilty parties accountable is paramount. Our community’s well-being hinges on feeling secure and protected.”
