Legal Woes Continue: Shebeshxt to Appear in Court for Stabbing Case While Recovering from Fatal Car Crash
It never rains but pours for musician Shebeshxt as his legal woes continue to pile up.
Shebeshxt is set to appear at the Lebowakgomo Magistrate’s Court today. This court appearance is related to a case from 2022, where Shebeshxt is accused of stabbing a man in Lebowakgomo.
Details of the 2022 Stabbing Case
According to Sunday World, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) Limpopo spokesperson, Mashudu Malabi-Dzhangi, confirmed that the musician is currently out on bail and is scheduled for a plea and trial on July 11, 2024.
“The matter is set down for plea and trial on July 11, 2024, at Lebowakgomo Regional Court D,” Malabi-Dzhangi stated.
The case, which has garnered significant public interest, was opened following allegations that Shebeshxt was involved in a stabbing incident.
Uncertain Court Appearance Due to Recent Injury
Complicating matters, Shebeshxt is recovering from a leg injury sustained in a car accident last month. According to his lawyer, Lot Ramusi, the musician was recently discharged from the hospital and is recuperating at home.
“He is out of hospital. He was discharged yesterday. He is recovering at home and he is getting better,” Ramusi mentioned, noting the uncertainty around Shebeshxt’s ability to physically attend court due to his fragile state.

Tragic Car Accident Adds to Legal Woes
Adding to his legal challenges, Shebeshxt was involved in a tragic car accident in Limpopo. The accident resulted in the tragic death of his nine-year-old daughter, Onthatile.
The incident occurred as Shebeshxt was traveling to his girlfriend’s home to drop her and his daughter off before heading to an ANC gig. His Volkswagen Polo collided with a truck and overturned on the R37 road near Smelters Mine. His daughter tragically died in the accident.
Ongoing Investigation for Possible Culpable Homicide Charges
As a result of the accident, he is facing culpable homicide charges. Limpopo police provincial spokesperson Malesela Ledwaba confirmed that an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the accident.
