Proceedings in Eswatini and Extradition Status
On a different note, the other two suspects arrested in Eswatini attended court proceedings on Tuesday. Siyabonga Gezani “Nxele” Ndimande and Malusi Dave “Mjay” Ndimande, who are siblings, appeared in the Eswatini magistrate’s court. Macebo Nxumalo, the principal crown counsel, submitted an application to obtain possession of four cellphones recovered during their arrest at their rented flat in Zone 4, Mbabane, by members of the Royal Eswatini Police Service.
However, their lawyer, Sivesenkhosi Ngwenya, opposed the application, urging the court not to issue the order as he had not yet reviewed the application and needed time to do so. The court learned that the South African national director of public prosecutions has not yet filed an extradition order for their deportation. The matter was adjourned until March 12.
