“Should She Continue Mourning?”| Nadia Nakai Under Fire Over Her Latest AKA Posts
The South African social media community has expressed mixed opinions regarding local rapper Nadia Nakai’s ongoing mourning process for her late boyfriend, AKA.
AKA tragically lost his life in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal in February this year, after he was shot.
In the past three months, Nadia has been actively sharing numerous posts about her journey in coping with the loss she experienced after dating AKA for slightly over a year, before his untimely passing.
However, it seems that some social media users have expressed their weariness regarding her posts and criticized her for it.
Their viewpoint suggests that the relationship between Nadia and AKA was not deemed as serious, and therefore, they believe Nadia should adjust her behavior accordingly.
In 2022, the relationship between Nadia Nakai and AKA gained significant attention on social media. Nevertheless, their love story continued to thrive until it was abruptly cut short.
AKA, who was 35 years old at the time, was tragically shot at close range outside a restaurant where he had been dining with friends, mere minutes prior to the incident.
Since his passing, Nadia has been mourning and sharing heart-wrenching posts about how she is struggling to cope with the loss.
It appears the posts are beginning to get to certain social media users who think that her relationship was not as serious as she is saying it was.
“Nadia acts like AKA was gonna be with her forever… One of his last songs was him literally saying 1 girl is not enough for him,” wrote one app user in a particularly insensitive post.
“The truth❤️….It’s cringe now. Only Kairo can mourn forever… Girlfriend of 6 months can chill,” wrote one person while another added:
“Didn’t even pay lobola to show ba he was intending to be with her forever.”
