Sithelo Shozi Falls Victim To Internet Fraud Amid Andile Mpisane’s Arrest
Sithelo Shozi, a DJ and brand influencer in South Africa has been hogging the headlines for the better part of the past two years. She has been in an abusive relationship with her baby daddy Andile Mpisane, who recently violated a protection order she got against him.
In addition, she has been a victim of online fraud by someone pretending to be her on Facebook. This person uses her sister’s name to steal money from booking agents by arranging bogus bookings and selling non-existent cell phones.
Sithelo’s manager, Siyabonga “DJ Kotin” Zikode, warned people to be careful of the scammer who has been doing this for over two years. The person uses Facebook, but Sithelo doesn’t have an account.
Sithelo Shozi warns people against internet fraud
The scammer sends requests for bookings, but Sithelo’s team doesn’t do that. Many organizers know to speak to DJ Kotin. The scammer targets people who want to speak to Sithelo directly to score discounts, but they end up being scammed.
Some people have been scammed of R25,000 each. The scammer also pretends to sell phones, but Sithelo is not a phone merchant.
Sithelo denies rumors that she will be part of the cast of the drama series Umkhokha, saying that she is focusing on her music. She recently released a single called Thandolwethu featuring Nomthandazo, and she is working on her EP with different producers.
