Facing the Past: A Candid Confession

In 2021, Seleka made headlines after sharing a deeply personal admission on Instagram. In a candid and heartfelt video—now removed from his profile—the actor acknowledged his role in contributing to his wife’s battle with depression. He confessed that his past actions had a profound impact on her mental health, and he took full responsibility for the distress she experienced.

“The main reason my wife is going through depression, in fact, all of it, is because of me. I am the reason she has been so depressed for so long, and the worst part is that I wasn’t there for her,” he admitted.

Seleka courageously admitted that his mistreatment and neglect in their relationship began early on and only worsened over time. He acknowledged that his behaviour not only led to his wife’s mental health struggles but also caused her to lose her job.

“Her depression stems from everything I’ve done in our marriage. It started right from the beginning when I wasn’t a good person,” he revealed.

A Painful Realization and Efforts to Move Forward

The *Skeem Saam* star further elaborated on the hardships his wife endured, sharing that she is currently undergoing treatment and relies on medication to manage her depression. Seleka’s honest reflections on his past mistakes highlight the depth of the impact his actions had on his partner’s well-being.
