Socialite Serge Cabonge aka ‘Serge the Blesser’ Accuses JMPD Officers of Theft and Bribery
Renowned socialite and businessman Serge Cabonge, popularly known as “Serge the Blesser,” is demanding justice against four JMPD officers he accuses of robbing him in 2022.
He claims the officers took his money and belongings during the incident.

Allegations of Theft and Bribery
Serge Cabonge alleges that the officers unlawfully arrested him and solicited a bribe during the incident.
According to his claims, the officers stole cash and personal items, including a Rolex watch valued at R195,000.
The socialite is now pursuing legal action, suing the JMPD for R1 million for alleged unlawful arrest and demanding the arrest and prosecution of the implicated officers, TimesLive revealed.
Internal Disciplinary Hearing Scheduled
The case has prompted an internal investigation within the JMPD. A disciplinary committee hearing is set to take place on December 9 at the department’s offices.
JMPD spokesperson Superintendent Xolani Fihla confirmed the ongoing proceedings.
“The internal case is currently continuing and in the process of prosecution, and as soon as the case is concluded, the department will take decisive action,” Fihla stated.
Serge Cabonge’s Call for Justice
Serge Cabonge has been vocal about his desire for accountability, expressing frustration over the alleged misconduct. He has emphasized the importance of holding public servants to the highest standards and ensuring that no one is above the law.
